Feeling Anchored Earrings
Feeling Anchored Earrings
In the Victorian era, jewelry was often used to convey meaning through symbols and signifiers. The anchor, for steadfastness, faith, hope and security. Lovers would often give the gift of anchor jewelry when heading off to sea, to battle, for work, or travel, as a symbol for them to, “never give up”, to be strong and rooted with determination. After the year we have all had, I felt that this was finally the time to incorporate these vintage, West German glass, gold intaglio and rhinestone cabochons, into some limited edition pieces. These glass delicate beauties are from the 1940’s, not the late 1800’s, but the message stays the same throughout the ages. I’m wearing mine and feeling hopeful, strong and steady. Perhaps you too have a need for these tokens in your life, as well. 14/20 Gold-fill findings, with vintage glass and 24k gold plated rhinestone cabochons. Please specify if you’d prefer French ear wires or posts, when placing your order.
