1950's Taxco Deco Modern Sterling Silver Reveriano Castillo Money Clip

$350.00

Reveriano Castillo began his silversmithing career as an apprentice at William Spratling’s Taller de las Delicias, in Taxco, Mexico, in 1934. Additionally he worked for well known silversmith Hector Aguilar, in 1939, at his Taller Borda. Later Castillo and his wife Maria, opened their own workshop, Reveri, where they primarily made production jewelry pieces and holloware. This wonderful Modernist money clip, with a nod to the Deco era, when Reveriano first started, is a classically elegant, yet fully functional, piece, in practically flawless, vintage conditon, with minor fine scratching from use. (Please note: dark areas are not dents nor imperfections, merely reflections from the room.)
