Sterling Silver 1940's Wells Inc. Articulated Horseshoe Spinning "I Love You" Necklace or Bracelet Charm

$65.00

A wonderfully charming, (see what I did there?) sterling silver and blue enamel, articulated, horseshoe “I Love You” spinner charm. Each side of the disc on this charm shows a portion of the phrase, with just four letters on each side. Only when the charm is spinning are you able to reveal the secret message, “I Love You”. Isn’t that magical? In excellent vintage condition with no missing enamel and ready to wear on a necklace or bracelet, along side some of your favorite charms, or perfectly hung on it’s own, making a great conversation piece.

Historical note: Horseshoes were (and still are) traditionally worn to represent good luck for the wearer, or a loved one, since the Victorian Era. The number 7, of which there are 7 “nails” on this particular horseshoe, has been considered a lucky number since this era as well. Please see video below to watch this little cutie spinning in action.

Wells Inc. was an American jewelry manufacturing company which originated in Attleboro, Massachusetts. They were specifically known for enamel and sterling pieces and maintained operations from 1922 to 1978.
